Intimate Big Sur wedding with Nepenthe reception

Caitlin and Marty couldn’t be any sweeter, or frankly cooler. Caitlin is an avid Disneyland go-er, so that right there means we are a match. I met them the year before when I shot one of their best friends wedding in Yosemite. They have a love for nature and camping so it was pretty obvious that they would wed in the woods of Big Sur. They shared their intimate big sure wedding with their closest friends and family at the campfire center near the campgrounds of Pfieffer Big Sur state park. After their completely elated and excited “I dos” we hopped down to the river for some cute smoochin photos and then over to the very windy Pfieffer state beach. The cold enabled Caitlin to transform into her badass second look; a black leather jacket over her gorgeous lace dress, a look which (if I’m being totally honest and biased) I think every bride should rock at least once of her wedding day. Their Nepenthe reception was more like an intimate family dinner in the middle of a beautiful cliff side restaurant. Their family spoke their words of love to Caitlin and Marty as the light over the pacific turned to darkness. It was the perfect day for them and I’m SO honored to have captured it all with them.
